When I was talking to my brother yesterday, he asked me if I had listened to any of the Brewers' game. I did tune in at one point, but the Wausau station had decided not to carry it, and just had their normal Saturday lineup on. He told me that Scott Cassidy had gotten hit hard...apparently, some guys take a bad outing harder than others:

In another development, non-roster pitcher Scott Cassidy announced his retirement. Cassidy had pitched twice in exhibition play, allowing five hits and five runs (four earned) in 1 1/3 innings (27.00). Opponents batted .556 against him in those brief outings.

Whatever strikes me as interesting, and serious Milwaukee Brewers thoughts. If you are a believer in respecting OBP, throwing strikes, and keeping the ball in the park, you may have found the place you've been searching for. I don't believe in paying a no hit/good field SS $7 million per year (Jack Wilson, I'm talking about you). I don't think it's a good idea to "play for a run" early in the game. Build up your minor league system, and watch success follow.
