Tuesday, April 01, 2008 (4/01/2008 07:30:00 AM) - Al My brother e-mails me a good point, the cities with a pair of teams pretty much has to have one at home at all times, so the idea of both the White Sox and Cubs opening on the road is kind of a non-issue. I feel the same way as I did last year when the CLE fans were all complaining about their early season weather...if everyone had a Miller Park, it'd be moot. Otherwise, weather is going to be a problem, be it in March or October. There's a reason the Midwest League only plays about 125 of 140 scheduled games a season, despite making up quite a few in doubleheaders. I wonder how many of the fans in MIN thought of the weather in their soon to be open-air ballpark as they sat in the Dome last evening? Poor planning leads to problems later on, to say the least. 4/01/2008 07:30:00 AM |
