Appleton is almost certain to be the home of the Brewers' low A team next year, as this article suggests. Reading between the lines, the Mariners want to resign...but the Foxes are holding off...while in 2004, they signed way back in January.
I used to make it down a couple times a year when Appleton played Beloit, who was then the Brewers' affiliate. I'd likely make the drive 5-6 times if they were a Crew team. Next year, Brett Lawrie should be at that level, as will Cutter Dykstra...those two alone are worth the trip.

Whatever strikes me as
interesting, and serious Milwaukee Brewers thoughts. If you are a believer
in respecting OBP, throwing strikes, and keeping the ball in the park,
you may have found the place you've been searching for. I don't
believe in paying a no hit/good field SS $7 million per year (Jack Wilson, I'm talking about you). I don't think
it's a good idea to "play for a run" early in the game. Build up your
minor league system, and watch success follow.
