Tuesday, September 16, 2008 (9/16/2008 04:41:00 PM) - Al Dale fiddles with the batting order, but the only "change" is Durham is in, though he often was versus RH's before as well. I expected to see Hart moved down, and he was, but I also thought he'd flip Ryan and Prince around like Ned had it early in the season. Cameron leading off is the only "odd" thing, but his OBP is among the best on the team, so it makes sense. I thought we might see Mike Lamb get a start or two, but we still may. You can only do so much right away.:) It will be far more interesting to see him work with the pitching staff...I could imagine him bumping CC up, skipping Parra, or doing any number of things with the rotation and the bullpen. I would also say he's likely to just go with Mota, Villy, Shouse, and Torres late in games, and not really worry much about if they are tired or not. I'd also suspect he may do some "mix and match" type stuff to get through an inning if the game is tied or they are down 1-2, you know; Gagne, Stetter, Dillard to make it past the 6th...sadly, he'll likely use DiFelice as the "save him in case of extra innings" guy, but Mark has been excellent versus RH hitters, and could be well utilized in a ROOGY role. 9/16/2008 04:41:00 PM |
