Adam goes over the list of closers, and also wonders out loud if Torres' failure to send back his retirement paperwork means anything more than Sal is not gifted in time management.
I have been thinking the same thing, as Torres is an emotional guy. When he announced his retirement, I felt there was probably a 5-10% chance he would change his mind. I'd bump that up to 15-20% now, though maybe it's on a pirated ship as we speak.

Whatever strikes me as
interesting, and serious Milwaukee Brewers thoughts. If you are a believer
in respecting OBP, throwing strikes, and keeping the ball in the park,
you may have found the place you've been searching for. I don't
believe in paying a no hit/good field SS $7 million per year (Jack Wilson, I'm talking about you). I don't think
it's a good idea to "play for a run" early in the game. Build up your
minor league system, and watch success follow.
