BUMPED: Reports say the Crew might give Hart more cash in '13 (signed for $10M) as part of the deal.
According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com,
the Brewers have had discussions with Corey Hart's representatives
regarding a contract extension.
Rosenthal says Hart is looking for a three-year
extension, but the Brewers prefer to give him two more years while
increasing his $10 million salary for 2013. If they're unable to work
out an extension, they could just let Hart play out his final year
before extending him a qualifying offer next winter.--Rotoworld
Corey has never shown he wants anything except to spend his career in MIL. He'd be 34 in 2016, and I've discussed in the past that many sluggers, especially non-athletic ones, decline very quickly in that 32-34 range. Going a year or two makes sense to me, especially if he's willing to go less than market or at the going rate with a limited no-trade clause.

Whatever strikes me as
interesting, and serious Milwaukee Brewers thoughts. If you are a believer
in respecting OBP, throwing strikes, and keeping the ball in the park,
you may have found the place you've been searching for. I believe in low taxes, small government, and am not afraid to be labeled patriotic.
