Most associated name with the Brewers in the 1st round of the June draft?
Jo Adell, toolsy atheltic HS OF (he also has hit 97 mph as a pitcher) and Alex Faedo, big college RH SP.
I'm on record as saying I'd never take a HS pitcher in the first round, and rarely in the top 5, since they simply get hurt so often it lowers their floor which makes them too high a risk.
My other suggestions, take a catcher in the top 5-7 rounds simply due to the scarcity at the position; take tons of SS's and CF's because they tend to be the most athletic (the Brewers and many teams do this and have for years). I would add two rather simple caveats...never take a position player with below average speed and never take a pitcher with below average velocity, unless they have one other tool (usually power or a very good breaking ball) that is so good it makes up for it.
You cannot teach speed and while you can increase velocity a tad, when they're starting out behind, it's tough to ever imagine a pitcher becoming anything other than filler.
I'll throw this in, as I have said it before, but I'd look to add a team in one of the short season A leagues and mostly stock it with undrafted free agents (college seniors really have no other options, they will sign for $5K each)...often players who were all conference and the best player on their college teams, but are a step slow, a couple inches short, not an athletic build, or do not "project" to the majors.
I'd also hunt the waiver wire in late March and early April for guys who have had some success in the low minors but are released...mainly looking for athletic guys who have hit, but not enough to be major league OF/3B/1B. Send them down to extended spring training, try some at SS/2B, work on others at C. Most will fail. That's OK, if you can find a utility player or two, or even a 2B/SS/C who is not a complete embarrassment at the plate and can work their way to AA and AAA, it's worth the minimal cost...which is basically just a few extra instructors for the minor league side, as a few can double as the staff for that extra minor league team from JUN-AUG.
