Al's Ramblings

(10/31/2018 06:30:00 PM) - Al

Heh.

From what I have seen, it doesn't take much.

10/31/2018 06:30:00 PM

(10/31/2018 05:30:00 PM) - Al

Good to see it happens to lefties too.

10/31/2018 05:30:00 PM

(10/31/2018 05:29:00 PM) - Al

Darnell Coles finds another hitting coach position. One wonders if his resignation was because he could not come to a financial agreement with the team much like Johnson.

10/31/2018 05:29:00 PM

(10/31/2018 05:18:00 PM) - Al

Derek Johnson leaves Crew for Reds.

Comments seem to like Bryan Price as a logical replacement. And he is, though lot of it will have to do with who Counsell wants, and who is analytically friendly. Heck, if he was still the bullpen coach, I would be expecting Lee Tunnel to get it. As I have said until I'm blue in the face, Fred Dabney has does a great job in the minors for them forever.

10/31/2018 05:18:00 PM

(10/31/2018 05:07:00 PM) - Al

Amen.

We can hope.

And yes, the new Graham, unburdened by the persistent nagging and "don't do that. they'll think we're mean" nannyism of John McCain, is suddenly one of my favorites.

10/31/2018 05:07:00 PM

(10/31/2018 04:00:00 PM) - Al

Always liked Reed, though his ceiling may not be all that high. Nice walk skill, good OBP, plus runner, plays all 3 OF spots.

10/31/2018 04:00:00 PM

(10/31/2018 03:30:00 PM) - Al

Heh.

It's a play on words.

10/31/2018 03:30:00 PM

(10/31/2018 03:00:00 PM) - Al

Heh.

I'm still waiting for someone to point out President Trump's policy on gay rights and gay marriage has always been to the left of Hillary's and Obama's...until theirs just magically changed one day because it was politically expedient.

Because some people don't really believes in anything.

10/31/2018 03:00:00 PM

(10/31/2018 02:42:00 PM) - Al

Korver would seem to be a perfect fit for the Bucks. That said, I'm not sure if there's a swap that works money wise...Dellavedova maybe. I like Delly for his defense, though he's not likely to be in the rotation barring injuries.

That said, CLE would have to have something, either a draft pick or a young player. Korver only has one skill, but so did Christie Brinkley.

When it's good enough, one is all you need.

10/31/2018 02:42:00 PM

(10/31/2018 02:12:00 PM) - Al

Brewers exercise Jeffress option, buyout Lyles.

I think they may try to bring back Lyles as a swingman type as a FA, perhaps for $2M or so. He pitched nicely, though he lacks the flexibility and ceiling often found at the back of a Dave Stearns bullpen.

40 man sitting at 35...I think.

10/31/2018 02:12:00 PM

(10/31/2018 02:00:00 PM) - Al

I'd look forward to this every day if it was guaranteed to happen.

I'm not saying bicyclists are terrible people. They're worse than that.

10/31/2018 02:00:00 PM

(10/31/2018 12:30:00 PM) - Al

I'm sorry, but I've been told this has never happened.

Well, on the bright side, at least the lying broad didn't wait until one of them were nominated for the Supreme Court. Ford remains an even worse person.

10/31/2018 12:30:00 PM

(10/31/2018 11:00:00 AM) - Al

Well, that's different.

Heh. It's easy to change your minds when you don't really believe in anything.

10/31/2018 11:00:00 AM

(10/31/2018 08:30:00 AM) - Al

Funny, I have not heard this story reported except for conservative blogs.

Narrative not what they want to sell to the voters. Hence, if they don't report it, they don't think anyone will find out. Because they are unbiased.

10/31/2018 08:30:00 AM

(10/31/2018 06:30:00 AM) - Al

That's funny. The old media tells me his policy is very unpopular.

Because there's nothing US citizens want more than criminals walking willy nilly into their country!

Duh.

10/31/2018 06:30:00 AM

(10/31/2018 05:00:00 AM) - Al

If I didn't know better, I'd think Colbert is just a liberal hack.

10/31/2018 05:00:00 AM

(10/31/2018 03:30:00 AM) - Al

Funny because it's true.

10/31/2018 03:30:00 AM

(10/31/2018 02:00:00 AM) - Al

More fake news.

Because I've been told this never happens. Because narrative.

10/31/2018 02:00:00 AM

(10/31/2018 12:00:00 AM) - Al

Funny how that works.

Remember the great Dave Obey quote, when asked about the billions of dollars in waste in Obama's great "stimulus" package:

So?

(10/30/2018 10:30:00 PM) - Al

Tax advantages? More benefits?

There's always a reason for address games.

10/30/2018 10:30:00 PM

(10/30/2018 09:30:00 PM) - Al

This seems like an easy thing to overlook...if you're trying hard to help the liberal white guy who pretends to be Latino win.

They are a parody of themselves.

10/30/2018 09:30:00 PM

(10/30/2018 08:56:00 PM) - Al

Image may contain: fruit and food

I hope they don't think I'm impressed by this. It's not like they run really fast.

10/30/2018 08:56:00 PM

(10/30/2018 07:57:00 PM) - Al

Moustakas and Soria both decline their half of mutual options.

Soria may well get more guaranteed money total, but I don't see him averaging $9M (salary minus bonus). MLBTR does though, so what do I know?

10/30/2018 07:57:00 PM

(10/30/2018 04:30:00 PM) - Al

Consistency is not their strength.

10/30/2018 04:30:00 PM

(10/30/2018 04:22:00 PM) - Al

Packers trade solid players for a handful of magic beans.

This will end badly. It always does. Looks very much like emotional moves. It reminds me of the gal who starts a restaurant because she thinks making a menu and picking out tables and chairs will be fun.

If they weren't needed...why were they getting so much playing time?

10/30/2018 04:22:00 PM

(10/30/2018 03:48:00 PM) - Al

About a week ago, I asked how they are always so close together, and always so clean and well fed.

It's easy when it's mostly fake.

Paid props. Wag The Dog, except it's real life.

10/30/2018 03:48:00 PM

(10/30/2018 03:35:00 PM) - Al

Pure speculation, and I do not know if Stearns would give much of a haul for 1.5-2 seasons of Realmuto. Certainly 2-3 prospects of some merit, but Yelich had 6 years of team control left.

10/30/2018 03:35:00 PM

(10/30/2018 03:07:00 PM) - Al

This is a bit of a surprise, considering a couple weeks ago, the reports were the Bucks were trying to give Wilson away for a 2nd round pick and might end up just releasing him.

Of course, they would not be the first team to fib about how they like a player in order to possibly drive up his value a tad. That said, he would seem to fit in perfectly with the 3's, layups, and athletic defense this team seems to embraced as their system...though they haven't exactly played the Warriors and Rockets yet.

10/30/2018 03:07:00 PM

(10/30/2018 01:30:00 PM) - Al

Just when you think he's a blithering idiot...he goes ahead and proves you right.

Keep talking putz.

10/30/2018 01:30:00 PM

(10/30/2018 11:30:00 AM) - Al

Know what? The only kids that have worse grades in school than athletes are the drama club kids.

Listen to them about your child's medical issues? Well, you're as stupid as they are.

10/30/2018 11:30:00 AM

(10/30/2018 10:30:00 AM) - Al

Because there's far more casual wine drinkers that just drink what they like than their are wine snobs.

There's also far more everyday Americans who don't give a damn what the DC/NY/LA elites think.

10/30/2018 10:30:00 AM

(10/30/2018 09:00:00 AM) - Al

A wise man has said this numerous times.

And he's right. When every Republican is really stupid and Hitler, no one is really stupid and Hitler. The result of their lies?

President Trump.

10/30/2018 09:00:00 AM

(10/30/2018 08:00:00 AM) - Al

Consistency is not their strength.

10/30/2018 08:00:00 AM

(10/30/2018 05:30:00 AM) - Al

The old media never talks about this.

It's a mystery why.

10/30/2018 05:30:00 AM

(10/30/2018 04:00:00 AM) - Al

The ones that despise Jews all seem to have a single thing in common...

10/30/2018 04:00:00 AM

(10/30/2018 01:30:00 AM) - Al

Because shut up.

(10/29/2018 11:00:00 PM) - Al

Talk about a weak argument. Considering how warmly the left has embraced the openly anti Semitic Jackson, Farrakhan, and Sharpton for decades, the old media should not even bring it up. It's a losing subject, and playing misdirection games will end badly.

Don't forget, noted sexual assaulter Keith Ellison who is still on the ballot in MN, is a good buddy of Farrakhan. Because the Dems have incredibly high standards, and because shut up.

10/29/2018 11:00:00 PM

(10/29/2018 10:00:00 PM) - Al

Luckily, racist statements by liberals are forgiven.

Of course, to be fair, dementia set in for the elderly Hillary many moons ago. Rumor has it she forgot WI, MI, and PA were states back in 2016...

Luckily, Tapper was there to tell her handlers to take Granny home and double her meds, while trying to pretend it was never said.

10/29/2018 10:00:00 PM

(10/29/2018 06:23:00 PM) - Al

Tyrone Taylor added to the 40 man. He could have been a minor league FA had the Crew not done so.

I'll have more to say when I get home from my mandatory parents meeting for the Rambling son's curling season.

[I wish I was kidding.]

ADDED: MLBTR link.

The Brewers could have signed Taylor to a minor league deal, but he still would have been eligible for the Rule 5 draft. I assume they knew other teams would sign him to a major league deal (in effect, add him to their 40) or take him in the Rule 5, so they made the decision to sign him to a big league deal.

His skill set is similar to Keon Broxton (though I do not know if he has as strong a throwing arm, and he is not as fast as Keon), who as we have discussed, is out of options and is likely to be traded this offseason.

I guess I need to do my "who will be added to the 40" post soon. I had Taylor on my mental "maybe" list, but had him below Nate Orf, who, while half a decade older, can play 5 positions at a passable level, while Taylor can only play 3. Orf could have been had by any MLB team for simply a 40 man roster spot in SEP, so he's doubtful to be added, so I guess you could say I felt TT was as well.

10/29/2018 06:23:00 PM

(10/29/2018 04:00:00 PM) - Al

The irony?

If you listen to the left, the world has gone to hell in a handbasket.

That's their brand. They can't convince the rubes to send in more cash if they find out poverty has been defeated by capitalism.

10/29/2018 04:00:00 PM

(10/29/2018 03:30:00 PM) - Al

Heh.

Perhaps someday, with hard work and some good fortune, Mr. Hill will climb to the level of mediocre. To be fair, that's a helluva climb from where he is now.

10/29/2018 03:30:00 PM

(10/29/2018 02:30:00 PM) - Al

Amen.

10/29/2018 02:30:00 PM

(10/29/2018 01:11:00 PM) - Al

Just a bunch of good people, trying to injure law enforcement.

You know, like all good people do.

Thugs, criminals, and props. The hell with every single one of them.

10/29/2018 01:11:00 PM

(10/29/2018 01:00:00 PM) - Al

I hate to ruin the end of the story for ya, but it ain't just one dude.

You know who would love to get a fresh start in the wealthiest nation in the world? Evil, bad people.

10/29/2018 01:00:00 PM

(10/29/2018 12:55:00 PM) - Al

The only reason to have an agent is if you want to spend your offseason doing chicken dinners and whatever it is they call card shows these days. Otherwise, you're just paying someone 5% to make you think you're far better than you really are and look over your paperwork for you.

You can hire a lawyer at an hourly rate and get a dog and you will accomplish the same 2 things and make 4.9% more. It's even moreso in the NBA, where there is a salary ceiling in place.

10/29/2018 12:55:00 PM

(10/29/2018 11:30:00 AM) - Al

Manchin's Kavanaugh vote probably saved him.

Probably.

I have heard rumors every six months or so that he continues to talk with the GOP about officially changing parties. Supposedly, he told the DNC he needed $X amount to run his campaign and the DNC, feeling his seat was secure, did not give him the full amount, rather about 67-75% of it. That may have made him a free agent, in his mind.

Time will tell. Obama's blatant anti coal attitude probably started the thinking process. A few months ago, when it looked like a 50-50 or 51-49 tally was likely, he had a lot more clout.

10/29/2018 11:30:00 AM

(10/29/2018 10:30:00 AM) - Al

Procedure number 72* for the Rambling wife today. We always hope it will be the final one. And we keep hoping. Positive thoughts are appreciated, as always.

*Granted, that's just an estimate.

It might be more.

10/29/2018 10:30:00 AM

(10/29/2018 10:20:00 AM) - Al

5k more troops sent to the border to defend our borders from thugs and criminals (and many paid props) who think lawlessness will keep them from being thrown en masse in a tiny cell with a mediocre cable package and non organic food.

I read over the weekend on a message board one person say it was the left's worst nightmare...Trump being seen as a law and order president intent on keeping those who insist ignoring our laws out, as folks yell at our military and, eventually start behaving badly.

The bloom will quickly be off the rose when rocks and saliva start hitting young folks who joined the service out of patriotism and to earn college money. They misjudged public opinion and have no exit strategy.

I see this as similar to Mueller's fictional investigation...the best case scenario would be for the world to end to avoid the embarrassment. As a liberal added on the board, "we won't be that lucky."

The irony? The people most upset are legal immigrants and those dutifully waiting for asylum or permission to enter or stay. To hear Dems say these wanderers should be allowed to jump the line because they...are supposedly poor and ignorant...is going over exactly like would be expected. Dems see this as a way to add voters, while voters see how easily they can be replaced.

Plenty of room in the tent of small government and not insisting law enforcement and the military need to quit being stupid.

10/29/2018 10:20:00 AM

(10/29/2018 10:00:00 AM) - Al

If things go as planned, the next recap of any consequence of the Brewers will be to go over the 40 man roster (which currently has 44 or so players on it, due to the 60 day DL) and talk about which players will fall off due to being free agents and which will be removed because they are outrighted or nontendered.

There are probably 4-6 players that will be added to the 40, to protect against being taken in the Rule 5 draft. That means the braintrust will probably reduce the 40 to 32 or 33, to leave room for free agent additions and waiver pickups.

The most interesting question marks I see are Schoop and all the catchers...all are major league players, but none jump out as sure things, due to salary, ceiling, and/or a combo of them.

10/29/2018 10:00:00 AM

(10/29/2018 10:00:00 AM) - Al

Let them talk. The more they say, the more people are turned off and vote against them.

The rubes may be rural imbeciles, but they can see politics over common sense (Keith Ellison seems to have escaped this scrutiny...we may never know why) and know full well if innocent until proven guilty is thrown away like the parsley on a plate at a truck stop, it's the little people like themselves that will be doing time.

10/29/2018 10:00:00 AM

(10/29/2018 09:30:00 AM) - Al

Actually, I'd take this as a compliment.

10/29/2018 09:30:00 AM

(10/29/2018 09:24:00 AM) - Al

Rasmussen has the president at 50% approval...6 points higher than Obama at the same point, who if you recall was the most popular president in history, as only racists thought he was less than a God.

Sometimes*, I don't think they're being 100% truthful.

*In this case, sometimes is all the time.

10/29/2018 09:24:00 AM

(10/29/2018 08:00:00 AM) - Al

Funny how that works.

Meanwhile, peace has broken out all over the world.

North Korea quit sending up missiles and wants to negotiate.

The economy is at heights not seen since Reagan.

Unfair trade has been reworked, and more is on the way. Nothing ever got done before because they not only didn't care about icky capitalists, but they couldn't have spelled economics if you spotted them the "econ" and the "omics."

The irony? Those folks who insist they don't want to be miserable? They're miserable because other people are not miserable. Like Bill Maher, they sit up night, hoping and praying for a recession.

Why? Because they're far kinder and considerate people than us rubes.

10/29/2018 08:00:00 AM

(10/29/2018 06:00:00 AM) - Al

Heh.

Because they know better.

10/29/2018 06:00:00 AM

(10/29/2018 03:30:00 AM) - Al

Yep.

Those of us that love our country are willing to fight for it.

10/29/2018 03:30:00 AM

(10/29/2018 02:30:00 AM) - Al

Because shut up.

10/29/2018 02:30:00 AM

(10/29/2018 01:00:00 AM) - Al

All things the old media refuses to admit happened.

The hatred of police and the "cops are always wrong" mentality can be directly traced back to Obama's anti police and anti military statements. The fact they try to rewrite history tells me they know history reflects poorly on his ridiculous unscripted remarks.

Because they do.

(10/28/2018 11:30:00 PM) - Al

The NCAA thinks these unannounced scrimmages make more sense than say, a game in which tickets are $10 and proceeds go to a mutually agreed to charity, including TV money.

The NCAA folks are complete fools.

10/28/2018 11:30:00 PM

(10/28/2018 10:39:00 PM) - Al

Because shut up.

10/28/2018 10:39:00 PM

Meanwhile, you're still white.

10/28/2018 10:30:00 PM

(10/28/2018 09:16:00 PM) - Al

The truth hurts when your legacy is a crappy economy, ignorant foreign policy,  and a failed healthcare plan.

10/28/2018 09:16:00 PM

(10/28/2018 07:58:00 PM) - Al

What's the problem?

They'll be civil once their in power again. Duh.

10/28/2018 07:58:00 PM

(10/28/2018 06:30:00 PM) - Al

NBC tries to justify biased reporting with lies, fibs, and untruths.

Shorter version...damn it, we got caught. Like often happens, one lie leads to two more, which leads to several more. Guess what? Now you're guilty of a whole bunch of lies, and then you realize how easy it would have been just to have admitted one and got on with it. Or even better, actually report the damn news, instead of being biased and slanted.

The network of Matt Lauer explaining to the rest of us that the most highly thought of legal mind in the nation was really a terrible person, because some money hungry gals decided the money train would never pass this close to their depot again.

That's rich.

By the way, 30some years ago, though I don't remember where or why or any specifics at all, NBC sucked. And they still do.

This is the best recap I've seen:

To be clear, Kate couldn't verify Swetnik's utterly outrageous claims against Kavanaugh, so they reported it anyway, but the woman's story that discredited the accusations against Kavanaugh weren't disclosed because they couldn't verify it. Gimme a sec and I'll solve the riddle.--Play the Trump Card

It's a mystery that may never be solved.

10/28/2018 06:30:00 PM

(10/28/2018 05:00:00 PM) - Al

That's different.

Because shut up.

10/28/2018 05:00:00 PM

(10/28/2018 03:29:00 PM) - Al

I'm not saying they're out of touch.

They don't need my help. They do that all by themselves.

10/28/2018 03:29:00 PM

(10/28/2018 12:30:00 PM) - Al

Short answer: ECON101.

Just because they don't like it, they insist it doesn't work. They're wrong.

10/28/2018 12:30:00 PM

(10/28/2018 08:30:00 AM) - Al

If those idiots and paid props think they're getting past the US military, I wish them an eternity in hell, because that's exactly where they'll be.

They better hope no one starts throwing rocks and bottles. That will end very, very poorly.

10/28/2018 08:30:00 AM

(10/28/2018 06:30:00 AM) - Al

Not radical at all.

10/28/2018 06:30:00 AM

(10/28/2018 05:00:00 AM) - Al

Why they pretend to care about the older folks every election cycle.

10/28/2018 05:00:00 AM

(10/28/2018 03:00:00 AM) - Al

That's because the rules are different for liberals. A conservative would have been banned for life.

10/28/2018 03:00:00 AM

(10/28/2018 01:30:00 AM) - Al

The Dems have ignored blatant anti Semitic language from Jesse Jackson and many others for 30+ years. It's what they are and are proud of it.

They know they're scumbags, but those scumbags bring in cash and votes. Same reason Al Gore Sr. being a leader of the KKK was never mentioned when his son ran for president. If it does not fit the narrative, it tends not to see the old media. Gore ran when the internet was in its infancy.

10/28/2018 01:30:00 AM

(10/27/2018 10:59:00 PM) - Al

Unexpectedly.

I distinctly recall Nancy Pelosi insisting the best way to stimulate an economy was with unemployment benefits.

There has probably never been a better way to explain the difference between Republicans and Dems.

10/27/2018 10:59:00 PM

(10/27/2018 10:16:00 PM) - Al

The old media never used to get caught before the internet was widespread.

They are and were never ones to let the truth get in the way of a good story.

10/27/2018 10:16:00 PM

(10/27/2018 07:30:00 PM) - Al

I'm not saying the left has lost their minds, but Piers Morgan has corrected them about 2 dozen times.

If one did not know better, one might just think they tell tales to try and anger the base.

10/27/2018 07:30:00 PM

(10/27/2018 07:02:00 PM) - Al

You can pay people to show up, but you can't pay people to give a damn.

Also, with the job market so tight, the dealers can't readily replace a mediocre or uncaring salesperson. They hope they get better.

10/27/2018 07:02:00 PM

Rewriting history, one more lie at a time.

The funniest thing, of course, is the refusal to admit we had an 8 year economic malaise, which Obama blamed on W for...8 years. The current administration destroyed all those silly regulations and taxes that artificially blocked growth...and it shows.

Not to mention all the lies about Benghazi...when you will lie about the deaths of patriotic Americans (Hillary lied to the family's faces at the funeral, don't forget, because she was the most qualified candidate ever), you will lie about anything.

Pina, Shaw, Yelich, and Cain all in the top 3 in the Gold Glove voting.

(10/26/2018 05:38:00 PM) - Al

Well, to be fair, they're right.

The ratings are a pretty good harbinger. As the gal on Outnumbered said the other day, they play CNN in airports to keep people sleeping and bored before their flights...don't want them getting all excited and entertained before they sit in a box that flies for hours.

10/26/2018 05:38:00 PM

(10/26/2018 05:21:00 PM) - Al

The left's worst nightmare.

They could pretty much laugh and call them Uncle Toms back when they got 95% of the black vote. Now with the president having a 40ish% approval among blacks, they ain't laughing anymore.

Hey, what have they got to to lose? As Mr. James has said in his MI Senate ads, we've been voting Dem for 50 years and nothing has changed.

And by the way, if you don't add cheese to them, you are a darn fool.

(10/26/2018 12:14:00 PM) - Al

1, 2, 3...unexpectedly.

As others have said, right about now might be a good time to mention Obama was the first president in modern history to never have a single year of 3% growth. Because, he said those days were long gone.

I can't tell you how shocked I was that his instincts to grow the economy were not only stupidly PC, but completely lacking in economic knowledge and instincts.

10/26/2018 12:14:00 PM

(10/26/2018 12:08:00 PM) - Al

It is sad.

The worst part is all these brilliant, excitable young conservatives are called racist names by liberals of all colors.

Good.

We're still suffering from President Clinton proudly cutting the military because they all despised him; and then using the savings to throw at his base.

They insisted terror was not a threat, because there's no votes to be had on the left from peace through strength.

(10/25/2018 11:00:00 PM) - Al

Nothing has really changed...the GOP is expected to hold the Senate and probably expand their majority by a couple. The Dems are expected to take back the House, because, historically, the minority party almost always adds seats in the lower chamber after a presidential loss. Since the margin is so slim, it makes perfect sense.

The GOP is blessed with the Dems defending many Senate seats in states President Trump won. The Dems are blessed with numerous GOP retirements in the House, making some safe red districts up for grabs.

In the past few weeks, the left has began damage control, backing off statements of winning the Senate, while saying "I think we'll win the House," as even that has narrowed, while in SEP the only question was "How large will the Dems' House majority be?"

That was BK*, of course.

Megyn Kelly was not a star. Fox News creates stars because it's Fox News.

Meghan McCain left Outnumbered. They replaced her with a rotation of attractive women. It's the only network that is not left of Marx. This ain't tough to figure out.

Well, if they go low, you kick them...but, don't you dare kick us, you evil rube.

Luckily, word is they will be civil when they are back in power. An elderly broad who falls down a lot and has to be assisted up steps that is in perfect health informed me out of that.

(10/25/2018 08:22:00 PM) - Al

How dare ye inform the viewers of the truth I'm trying to hide because it reflects badly on the Dems that I have no bias for because I'm a journalist, damn it!

They are a parody of themselves. They get terribly upset every time they are mocked, and they deserve far, far worse.

(10/25/2018 06:19:00 PM) - Al

Coles resigns, Tunnell and Wright not asked back. Lane in limbo.

Tunnell and Wright both are surprises, though it could be for any number of reasons; money, title, or just plain not getting along with others.

Wright won awards just a year or so ago. Tunnell is probably best known for adding several mph to John Axford's fastball when he was in the low minors. The other coach who took part in that bullpen session was Fred Dabney, who has been the Brewers' AAA pitching coach for years, and would seem to be a favorite to be promoted.

Coles has long said he wants to manage, and probably wants to do that or be a bench coach.

No idea who will be hired, but Rick Sweet has said he would love to coach in the bigs and always is very well spoken when you listen to him talk about the AAA team. He might be one I would predict.

Lane is in a tough spot, because I assume the hitting coach has a say in who will be the assistant hitting coach.

(10/25/2018 03:25:00 PM) - Al

One interesting thing to keep in mind if Doug Melvin gets the Mets' GM job is if he would have interest in any of the players on the Brewers. Broxton? Santana?

10/25/2018 03:25:00 PM

(10/25/2018 01:41:00 PM) - Al

Why are talking about these fake bombs?

Because they have seen a complete failure of an issue they thought would sway voters. Left wing Bloomberg tells them to side with the president and panic has set in.

(10/25/2018 01:24:00 PM) - Al

It now seems obvious the Twins simply wanted a young numbers friendly manager. They were probably exhausted from Molitor not wanting to embrace extreme shifts and other math based strategies.

Next time they tell me that the old media is broke and it's my fault, I will send you this link and laugh and laugh and laugh.

Well, she's a leggy blonde that is a bit of a hero to us because she asked a stupid question to now President Trump and he tore her apart. What could possibly go wrong?

Sooner or later, they will figure out Fox News could put a test pattern up and double CNN's ratings...and it would be far more entertaining. Until then, give me a minute to get downwind when you decide to throw out bagfuls of cash.

Yeah, she's great. She was an Olympic runner, before becoming a high priced hooker while she was married. Looking forward to all the brilliant advice I'm gonna get!

It's like someone hiring me to get them in better shape.

10/25/2018 01:00:00 AM

(10/25/2018 12:07:00 AM) - Al

I'm on my phone waiting to get sleepy, but so many people are thinking the bombs are a liberal plot that it would be an upset if it was not. It just seems so over the top...harmless metal that looks dangerous, a Dem in the return addy, harmless powder, all hated Dems receiving them.

I mean, wouldn't an angry conservative send a couple to Ryan and McConnell just to, you know, hide their motives?

Note too the responses...President Trump condemns harshly. Dems use it as an opportunity to blame the president. I promise you the president did not send them.

I got a call saying there had been a shooting at the Baja Lounge. This bit of news surprised absolutely no one.--Lt. Joe Kenda

If you are not watching or DVRing Kenda, which is on ID (all murder, all the time), you need to start. It's hilarious, in a deadpan, matter of fact, someone got killed again type of way. I checked out his book online, but only got about halfway through before it disappeared, so I'm on the list again. The best part I read was after his mom's funeral, he was able to tell his wife, "At least my mom doesn't hate you anymore dear, because she's dead."

Like often happened in that generation, no girl would have ever have been good enough for her son.

I've seen more Brewers' stuff than Packers in the past couple weeks.

Now that's saying something.

10/24/2018 04:00:00 PM

(10/24/2018 03:30:00 PM) - Al

This is actually a fascinating question...if Peralta, Burnes, and Woodruff all are rotation candidates, the Crew already has 8 solid candidates, not including Suter, who may be back in the second half, or Wilkerson, who had an outstanding year at altitude in AAA.

But you know what? None of us expected them to add an OF last winter, never mind 2. And guess what?

Cobb and Chatwood are both probably available for a fraction of their trade value too. Alex was superb the second half, while Chatwood was injured much of the season, and when you look at his production, one wonders if he was pitching hurt the entire year. Eovaldi would be my #1 FA choice, as he has had success in both roles, and seems to have no qualms about being used that way...thouygh that may change as a FA. Hellickson was also rumored to be in their sights last offseason, as was Corbin (though he might have simply pitched too well and will get too many seasons).

They were also linked to trade candidates Ray, Bundy, Stroman, and Duffy; though we do not know how serious the interest was.

It will be interesting to see if Gio or Miley look to return after both had success in MIL after struggling elsewhere. I doubt Stearns would look to go more than a year (or two) with either. The one thing to remember is, while MIL will never be warm for those players wishing to avoid the chill, they are now looked at as a winning team and have a manager known to be well liked by his players. For the first time in ages, free agents will be calling them and asking if they can have a meeting, as many will see themselves as "the final piece."

10/24/2018 03:30:00 PM

(10/24/2018 03:00:00 PM) - Al

Ty must have gotten "coda" as his word of the day, and decided to slip it into his Brewers' outlook. I honestly had never heard of it.

I doubt they'll exercise either option (Moustakas or Soria), but they might. Or, they might just use the time they have exclusive rights to make a deal that guarantees them more money, but less per season. Soria will probably be tougher, because there are probably several teams that see him as a closer, or at least sharing time as a closer. Teams often overpay for closers, because they do.

10/24/2018 03:00:00 PM

(10/24/2018 02:31:00 PM) - Al

The "never Trump" crowd never even thought of this. They were too busy trying to stay up on that high horse of "I'm better than everyone else and I'll prove it by taking my toys and going home."

I doubt it will be in 5 years, but I think a fair over/under would be 8-10 years.

It's one of those things that is so minor in the big scheme of things, it's wholly unimportant. We have all seen what didn't work for 8 years, and we have all seen what has in the past 2. Worrying about Sammy Stoner smoking pot while he sits in his apartment wondering why he doesn't have a girlfriend and runs out of cash 2 days after he gets paid?

It's a problem for Sam, not for me.

President Trump looks only at the end game...are they not following it? If not, then why should we?

Obama? Not concerned about anything but his legacy. When you don't care if the deals you're making actually make sense, that says all you need to know about why was his foreign policy so ineffective.

Not giving a damn seems to be the common refrain of the Obama years. Let's not forget, when Benghazi was under attack, Obama went to bed because he had a fundraiser in Vegas the next morning. Then had Suzie Rice lie about it for a week, until they got caught. To this day, he's never explained why. It's almost like the old media were complicit in the cover up.

And they wonder why no one trusts them.

(10/23/2018 08:38:00 PM) - Al

Stearns did not say anything about looking forward to seeing Schoop back next year. That tells me he will not be. Schoop is projected to make $10M in arby next season, so not many teams will have interest in him at that price. With Hiura knocking on the door and other options out there far cheaper, it's easy to imagine the braintrust simply cutting bait and nontendering him.

At the very least, Perez is a good platoon option and far from a terrible everyday option. Could they come to an agreement with Moustakas and leave Shaw at 2B? Neil Walker, Josh Harrison, Ian Kinsler, Brian Dozier, Asdrubal Cabrera, Eduardo Nunez, and Daniel Murphy are all FA's. Many, even most of those names have been associated with the Brewers in the past season or two as well, and with the exception of Dozier, are versatile as well. Because of age, I think most will end up with only a 1 or 2 year commitment as well.

I've mentioned Harrison so often, it almost seems as if he's played for the Crew.

Another noticeable thing during the presser? His praise of Pina and Kratz was overwhelming. Also said improving catching was very difficult. Then volunteered both Manny and Erik were under team control in arby. Given the fact they have Nottingham in the system and will probably try to sign Stephen Vogt to a minor league contract, that may well be it. I said Grandal was a perfect fit earlier this season, and his defensive metrics are very good. However, his struggles in the postseason have been well documented, and would make it difficult to give him a 3+ year deal.

Asher will either get a 40 man spot or a huge signing bonus (well, huge for a minor league signing bonus). He pitched about as well as anyone in AAA in the 2nd half. Franklin and Zagurski are nice players too. I'd love to have them all back.

The Brewers had many players this year with options which gave them flexibility.   Who is out of options next year that had them this year? Is Corey Ray the new Keon Broxton?

Ben

First of all, I'd say the answer to your question is no...Corey Ray, at this stage of his career at least, will play most everyday. So, I doubt he comes up to the Brewers unless he will at least platoon in the OF. Also, Ray does not have to be put on the 40 man roster until after 2019...unless he is brought up to the majors before that, in which case, he'll be added early, much like Burnes was this past season.

Troy Stokes Jr, who played alongside Ray in AA; has to be added to the 40 or be at risk of being taken in the Rule 5 draft. Because of this, Stokes may receive an opportunity before Ray, if an OF is needed, especially if they are expected to mostly sit on the bench.

As of this minute, most fans assume the 2019 OF will be Braun, Cain, and Yelich most days, barring injury of course. Lo and Christian are not going anywhere. Ryan? He would probably only OK a deal to the Dodgers, and is doubtful to even do that, as the future for the Crew looks promising.

I said a couple times Granderson would be a nice fit as a 4th OF, but he is a FA. Assuming Perez remains, he can be a backup out there as well. Thames is signed for 2018 at $6M. Eric, though his playing time was less this past season, remains a very good hitter versus RHP...

2017--.378/.540
2018--.313/.491

...and a sub 700 OPS one versus LHP.

In answer to Ben's question, both Broxton and Santana are now out of options, which both lessens their value to other teams and makes the Crew more likely to trade them, unless they feel they have a spot on the 2019 roster. Of the 2, both have value, though Domingo is younger and far better offensively, meaning he is worth far more. Keon, however, is cheaper short term and able to play CF, so he will have plenty of suitors. OAK and CLE both seem like good fits, as do TEX, CWS, CIN, DET, SF, KC, and NYM. That said, any team who needs a reserve OF capable of playing all 3 spots and who is a bonafide lefty masher could use him, so plenty of clubs would have interest.

Others who are out of options now that had them in 2018? Adrian Houser looks to be the only one that jumps out at me. Some players you might be surprised that have options? Guerra and Saladino. Davies and Woodruff. Suter and Nelson, who are both returning from major injuries, could actually use them if they need extra time to rehab.

More and more people seem to be coming to the same conclusion. Every time they show pics, they also show bystanders with huge, dare I say corporate sized piles of water, food, often on pallets; handing it out to the mobs of thugs.

Obviously, the citizens of these hellholes do not have funds to purchase pallets of supplies, never mind then give them all away. Who is buying them? These are mostly paid associates being resupplied by other paid associates, though paying locals to hand out some of them keeps it fresh.

As the gals pointed out on Outnumbered today, they are being joined by others on the way, thinking they have a better chance of being allowed in that way than by sneaking across by themselves. As many have said, the thing that makes the most sense? The GOP is paying for the entire charade. It not only makes President Trump look like a leader and tough on illegals, but the Dems have predictably fallen right into the trap, welcoming those intent on breaking the law without any background check at all.

Even those who feel sorry for them do not want druggies, criminals, or neerdowells walking in and being given public housing and a check, never mind emergency cash.

Escobar signs for 3y/$21M.

The reason why I mention this is Perez is estimated to make $2.5-3M in arby. I thought there was an outside chance he might be nontendered, but that seems like a bargain compared to Escobar, who had a career season in 2018, but is comparable to Hernan.

Some are reading this as Jake Lamb being available, or possibly even nontendered. Tough to tell what the DBacks plan to do with Escobar, but it would be tough to justify paying Lamb $5Mish to be a bench player.

Thoughts on this poll.

1. Assault weapons are a made up term. Using it shows your ignorance.

2. Banning semi automatic guns, as the article states, would, in effect, ban every handgun and rifle in existence. The 40% that say they favor that are either the stupidest people on the planet, or are completely ignorant of the terms being used.

Or both, because stupid people tend to be ignorant.

This is why Gallup polls, are, to be blunt, always wrong. They word the questions so badly and confusingly to get the result they hope for, they are rendered meaningless.

No brilliant words from me. Only one team wins their last game. That Puig HR did not look like a bad pitch, and especially one to be pulled. The irony? The bullpen was stretched a tad, but they still had plenty left. The guy with most rest gave up the big hit, unfortunately.

173 games later, and we all wanted at least 4 more. Good season, and tip your cap.

To Baldwin and the Dems, this is a perk, not a disadvantage.

A with Obamacare, it's not about healthcare, it's about control. Once the rubes accept the government telling them what doctors and clinics they can go to, they are far more likely to accept the government telling them where to live and where to work.

Besides, the cost allows more confiscation of the successful's income. Heck, they might as well just eliminate this darn cash based economy and all use the same deoderant...because they know better.

The bullpen got 14 outs while allowing a single baserunner, on the HBP.

And, they did not use their best reliever...though one could argue Knebel has pitched better since SEP1.

We're seeing the future before our very eyes. Probably within a couple years, we will see the next step...a team will simply have 12 or 13 relievers and mix and match through the whole game. It won't be everyone just going an inning, guys like Burnes and Woodruff will often go 3 innings and then take 2-3 days off.

I'm not sure if they'll use Burnes, but in theory, every single top reliever is available tomorrow. Hader could easily be asked to go 3 frames, especially if his pitch count stays low.

I have no proof at all here, but I'm all but positive we are watching a real life Wag The Dog with this supposed group of folks headed toward the southern US border.

I have seen them on TV many times. What's wrong you ask?

--All are young and appear very healthy.

--None have torn clothing, or even soiled clothing.

--None appear thirsty or hungry.

--None look to be limping or even favoring a foot.

--Many are talking or texting on phones as they walk. Nothing says you are a desperate refugee like having unlimited data, texts, and minutes.

--Supposedly there are thousands of them, right? But every time you see them, they are within a block of each other. I went to Aldi this AM to pick up a few frozen and refrigerated things I can't have delivered to my doorstep on Walmart.com. I had to ask a gal where the syrup was, and she quickly walked across the store. Since I'm old and fat, and had to navigate around shoppers with a cart, it took me far longer. I was a good 10 yards behind her when she pointed at them. Yet, all these people, walking for days, are right next to each other?

--We're being had. These are nothing but paid performers.

Best description of DC I've ever read.

Why is some cheddar white and others yellow or orange? Historically, cheddars made in New England were undyed and left white, while cheddars made elsewhere were dyed with things like annatto to help distinguish their origins. Nowadays, it's just a consumer preference and both are still produced.--thekitchn.com

I have never heard this before.

I asked the Rambling wife why sharp cheddar and extra sharp cheddar were so expensive in the little cheese store we sometimes stop at off 29 (I've seen up to $15 a pound) while you can buy $1.99 sliced extra sharp cheddar made by Sargento for the same price as any other sliced cheese, and it's really, really good, as it has a very noticeable "bite" to it. I found the above trying to find the answer.

I did find out "sharp" cheddar is usually aged 6-9 months, while "extra sharp cheddar" is usually about 18 months old. The spendy cheddar at the cheese store is 12 or more years old. That is a large difference, and would require a lot of cooling and storing.

So you say you wanted an evenly matched series?

The only difference is the Dodgers' ground ball missed Aguilar's glove by 3 inches in the 13th inning.

When I say the playoffs are a crapshoot, I'm not just talking to myself.

Our local honor flight had a few minor issues earlier this week, but they made the best of it. I made it a little larger so the nearsighted would not to put on their readers. FYI, the vet that missed the flight took out his hearing aids and did not hear his alarm. He'll get the next one.

Had to land in Pittsburgh due to weather in DC. I'm surprised the Nats and Cubs weren't playing.

To be honest, I think a great deal of Machado's antics is him just trying to be cool. He's just not intelligent enough to realize how badly it makes him look.

It may effect how many small market clubs like the Cardinals pursue him, but the Yankees and Phillies and many others are likely thrilled it may lower his per year average a couple million bucks. He's not nearly as offensively gifted as Bryce Harper, but Harper doesn't play SS and 3B either.

Doug Melvin expected to interview soon for the Mets' GM position.

It doesn't really matter unless he is offered the position, but the attempt to spin him as "old school" seems very incorrect to me. He was at the forefront of analytics back when he was with the Rangers and often spoke about various stats and numbers. Much of what goes on in the actual analytics departments is math based and well beyond what we see.

I would guess 95% of the stuff they come up with in analytics is not used or a waste of time. That 5% can make a huge difference however. Was that why they picked up Wade Miley? Eric Kratz? A move or two can be the difference between a playoff spot or staying home.

The old media keeps insisting they are smarter and wiser than the Trumps. And they keep blindsiding them, and even with editing, lose every single time.

They're like the Washington Generals, only without the lovable loser label. They're hated by one side and the left thinks they're just horrible at what they do.

This is one case when both sides are right. When the old media doesn't even pretend to be unbiased, while openly frowning and pretending they are unaware of the incomparable success of the past 2 years; it's no wonder their approval rating is exactly what it deserves to be.

Proof of the end of the world as we know it.

If only someone could have predicted this based on history and proven economic principles.

So, if raising taxes leads to less revenue, what possible reason would there ever be to raise taxes? Well, to be blunt, when your goal is to make everyone a have not, the worst possible outcome is to have successful people creating wealth and jobs. Hence, raising taxes is effective in limiting those SOB's from showing how wonderful and effective capitalism is.

(10/18/2018 11:00:00 AM) - Al

I seem to recall saying this when it started. When you start a "movement" that involves eliminating due process and having women brazenly accuse every former boyfriend that did them wrong and the old media proudly publishes it as "fact," it was doomed from the start.

Sadly, everyone was too busy patting themselves on the back to realize how insane they were. Now that it's been shown to be biased and painfully ignorant, the backtracking has begun. Now that public opinion has turned, after seeing the witch hunt or Kavanaugh, soon, they'll insist it was the GOP's idea.

Rewriting history is what they're best at. Because they get a helluva lot of practice doing it.

10/18/2018 11:00:00 AM

(10/18/2018 09:30:00 AM) - Al

Mob? I have a lot stronger words than that for the scumbags.

Hard to believe those Occupy SOB's are now attacking random people, because that's exactly what they did when they were in Occupy.

Too bad they weren't arrested, tried, and thrown into a tiny concrete box then. Of course, a famous community organizer assured us the police were acting stupidly, so...

We'll be cleaning up his mess for 50 years. It was like putting a 3rd grader in charge of a nuclear facility.

All I can say is if Stubby Clapp becomes a coach for the Cards, the answer to the question of whose name in MLB most sounds like slang for an STD will now have a unanimous answer.

I gotta get a ride to the clinic. I need a prescription to get rid of this stubby clapp. Can you take me or do I need to call Uber?

I'm not sure, but I think Ramblings has either hit a new high or a new low, depending on how much you enjoy Anthony Jeselnik style humor.

(10/17/2018 11:34:00 PM) - Al

Watched the Bucks and then cleared my You Tube videos after the game. A quick rundown,

--As I commented on Facebook, the Crew simply got Kershawed. They would have either had to get lucky with some ground balls, bloopers, or have thrown a shutout. I seem to recall a fly ball to the warning track and Kratz missing a homer on a foul ball. Those are balls you need to have a positive result when you face a star that's on his game.

--I was just thinking earlier today no one seems to understand the Brewers do what they do because they do not have the SP's to match up with most contenders. But, John Smoltz explained just that late in the game. And, while he did not say it, he did mention why the rotation still had so much success, telling the audience Counsell told them he'll have to tell 7 or 8 guys that they will "be in the mix" competing for a spot on the 2019 starting staff when the season ends and they have exit conversations...even though those players were effective in 2018.

The reason they were able to withstand a down, injury filled season from Davies, not getting a single pitch from Nelson, and losing a quietly effective Suter to TJ surgery? They had 9 or 10 real, actual candidates in March in the desert. They even moved Burnes to the bullpen because they were so deep (and, though he's been used as a poor man's starter, Woodruff has also been very effective as a reliever). Guerra too.

--They will probably need about a dozen solid relief innings if they hope to win both final games of the series at home. The fact all the upper echelon bullpen guys got tonight off except short outings from Soria and Burnes may well come in very handy. Woodruff could possibly pitch SAT, though probably not for more than an inning.

--My somewhat from LF mention at the trade deadlines that I woulds rather deal Hiura than Woodruff (or Burnes or Peralta, but since they were important cogs in the majors, they were unlikely to be dealt) has gone from looking like a mancrush (not that there's anything wrong with that) to being one of the more shrewd and prudent things ever said at Ramblings (granted, the competition was minimal).

This may indeed be the stupidest thing I've seen in politics since we gave pallets of cash to a terrorist friendly enemy who probably spent it on stuff to kill Americans.

I seem to remember an "end of the world" scenario that WI test scores would plummet under Governor Walker.

Apparently the old media is not just painfully self important, but fails to understand that the left has created an environment where it's acceptable to many to do physical harm to conservatives.

Want to ask a question? Schedule an interview. If anyone ever yelled a question at me, I would never answer a question from them until the end of time. The hell with them.

The Secret Service is well aware they are very much at risk of not going home every day they work. Their patience, along with much of law enforcement's, is very much stretched to the limit.

10/17/2018 12:00:00 PM

This is a perfect case of a city blatantly violating someone's free speech, but they proudly did so because "they knew better."

The courts sided with the victim here, because, well, it doesn't matter about feelings, it only matters what the law says. This is why we need constitutional following judges instead of judges who dream every day of ignoring the law and setting precedents to, in effect, create a "work around" for a variety of liberal causes.

Because they know better, you stupid, deplorable rube.

So, who replaces Gio on the roster if he is not considered able to return? I would think the 2 most likely names would be Davies or Jennings. Less likely? Williams, Lyles, and Barnes; I would guess in that order.

Gio would not be eligible to return for the next series if the Brewers win the NLCS. Also, any replacement would have to be a pitcher.

I would not be surprised if it went from #3 to gone.

I'm not sure what the ratings will be tonight, as many may watch out of curiosity, including many that did not watch before; but by episode 3 or 4 I assume it will be way, way down.

The thing they do not understand at all is how their constant negative attitudes towards life, capitalism, and American exceptionalism drives the working class towards President Trump, who is the de facto leader of the GOP.

Seriously, who wants to listen to negative nellies all the time insist that the world is ending every single day?

10/16/2018 01:00:00 PM

(10/16/2018 12:54:00 PM) - Al

Are you kidding? Most casual fans and many others don't understand why they ever lose a game.

And even moreso, why Hader doesn't throw more innings and more often!

(10/15/2018 11:03:00 PM) - Al

I was strangely calm during the bottom of the 9th, as I am not sure if I had faith in Jeffress or realized how tough it is to hit a homer in LA...though the wind had been blowing out early.

I would not have removed Hader. I would have also allowed Soria to get a runner on base before taking him out in the 8th. That said, I did not mind having Hader get 5 (or even 6) outs at all. He would be unavailable for Game 4, but would be ready for Game 5 (though maybe be limited to an inning). If he is used in Game 4, he is also very unlikely to be able to go in Game 5, so you probably only have him for one or the other. Again, that's assuming every game will be close. One of them may end up 11-2.

A bit surprised Woodruff was up and not Burnes. Given Corbin's uncharacteristically lackluster outing in Game 2, I hope he's healthy.

If you ask Counsell, and he is honest, I think he would say he gave Jeffress the 9th to give him confidence. That kind of reminded me of the catcher calling a curveball in the 3rd inning even though the SP has hung every curve he threw. He knows he'll need that curve to have a successful outing. It would be tough to win the NLCS, never mind the next step without a healthy and effective Jeffress.

Good to hear Counsell say Knebel has been better than Hader in SEP/OCT. I thought I was the only one that had noticed.

Brewers 3rd shutout of the postseason. 3 of 5 wins have been because they have not allowed a single run.

Knebel went 1 2/3rd's, but only faced 5 hitters and made 19 pitches. Corey often throws 20 getting through an inning. As good as he has been, even at 75%, he's probably as good as any other option.

Someone of my FB points out this is the first time the Crew has ever been up 2-1 in a playoff series.

Watching the FSW postgame show, Sophia interviewing Arcia, I thought Orlando reached over and moved Sophia's hair back. I thought that was a bit strange, especially in this PC environment. I rewound it and it turns out he put up a fist behind her, apparently reacting to something a teammate said. That is why eyewitness testimony is so unreliable in court. Your eyes and mind just don't comprehend every quick movement.

Add to that police often work in low light conditions and are afraid of getting killed, it's easy to understand why they think they see a gun or think it was being pointed at them.

2 very dumb decisions by Machado. It's always the really good players who make stupid plays, because mediocre players would never play again if they did that.

I missed it live, but Grandal had little chance at that wild pitch that scored Shaw. We're a bit spoiled with Pina and Kratz, but I doubt they block that pitch more than 1 of 3 times.

The Ramblings household was down to only one cable box tonight. The Rambling son uses his phone app and never watches anything live, just watches On Demand and Netflix. The Rambling wife went into her office to watch the Packers, and we don't think we've watched in there since SEP16, when I went in and watched the Brewers. Error messages and a couple resets later, we were doing a lot of switching back and forth.

When the Rambling son got home from work, he went in and checked it out, and managed to get several different error codes, but no luck getting it working.

Only one box? It's like we're living in the 50's...

Bucks acquire a future 2nd round pick, cash, and Jodie Meeks from the Wizards for a ghost 2nd round pick.

They will waive Meeks, and effectively bought a 2nd round pick. By getting rid of Meeks, the Wizards will save money on the luxury tax.

Bucks set final roster, but are supposedly close to a trade with the Wizards which would send a player to DC for a player and a draft pick...and the Bucks would then waive said player and pick up Frazier or someone else from the waiver wire (or, have an open roster spot for now).

(10/15/2018 03:17:00 PM) - Al

Foreign policy was so much easier back when Hillary and Obama could send Susan Rice on the Sunday shows to lie to the public about why they abandoned Americans in the embassy.

Or, when we could break the law and send pallets of cash to a terrorist harboring regime...that might have just killed this fella in Saudi Arabia, no one really knows yet.

I wonder why that legacy is so weak? What's even funnier is the fact Obama proudly said he wants to campaign and all the Dems in close races told him to please, please stay away.

I can't believe this is not working out well.

It's almost like it wasn't thought out at all.

If only someone could have predicted this years ago...

By the way, can you imagine bragging about winning a women's event...and you're a guy?

Oof.

President Trump's greatest skill is his ability to get his opponents to keep bringing up things that hurt them, because they have no idea how damaging doing so is.

By the way, I am at least 1/1024th pure sarcasm. Applying for minority status later today, after a nap.

35 examples of something 2 weeks ago the left insisted has never happened in the history of time.

If memory serves, a wise man said the same thing.

Alex Jones is a nut, but he has every right to say what he wants. If they take away the rights from one, the rest of us are soon to follow. It's a mighty slippery slope when "we know better" becomes a reason to infringe on Constitutional rights of others.

Found this link when someone linked to it in the comments of a You Tube video.

Basically, it says if milk replacer is more than $62 a bag, it's cheaper for a dairy farmer to feed saleable milk to their calves instead of selling it.

There's something I wouldn't have guessed.

These are the good old days. Some folks are just too busy wishing the streets were paved with gold to enjoy the good times.

Whatever strikes me as interesting, and serious Milwaukee Brewers thoughts. If you are a believer in respecting OBP, throwing strikes, and keeping the ball in the park, you may have found the place you've been searching for. I believe in low taxes, small government, and am not afraid to be labeled patriotic. I'm happy to pay taxes to help the helpless. I don't like paying taxes to help the clueless. Look at the Occupy movement...I'm forced to pay taxes to help those whose plight I delight in.--Dennis Miller

If you choose the path of terror, your life will be empty, and your life will be brief.--President Trump

Never have lives less lived been more chronicled.--Dennis Miller

I’m going to plead with you, do not cross us. Because if you do, the survivors will write about what we do here for 10,000 years.--Mad Dog Mattis

I have never understood why it is "greed" to want to keep the money you have earned but not greed to want to take somebody else's money.--Thomas Sowell

Ramblings makes me want to poke my eyes out with a sharp stick.--Marxist sympathizer (one of Ramblings' proudest moments)
